| Donna
Lee Jewelry -
Donna started making jewelry while she was a stay-at-home
mom and homemaker in 2004. She lived on a remote ranch in the
middle of nowhere and searched for a creative outlet. Donna
started scrapbooking and began to feel like the little mouse
stuck in the wheel with no end in sight. So instead of turning
to alcohol, She turned to beading. This hobby stuck. She soon
realized that she couldn't possibly wear all of the jewelry
she created so she started giving her designs to all of her
friends who encouraged her to start selling jewelry at local
events where she'd sit at a booth all day. She hated sitting
at a booth all day, especially in small town carnivals where
her booth was usually located between the guy who makes wind
chimes out of old beer bottles and the woman who sold "gently
used baby clothes" and said things like "Ya' think
it could get hotter today?" Realizing that her jewelry
was creating buzz amongst her friends, she'd hold small trunk
shows at their homes for their friends as well. Now, her jewelry
designs are doing well in local boutiques and salons around
Austin, Texas. Thank goodness for civilized boutiques...with
air conditioning. |

Jewelry
Vine -
It took Carolyn 32 years to find her true love.... After
trying her hand at various artistic mediums (painting, pottery,
stained glass) over the years, she discovered that she felt at
home with jewelry. She grew up in Austin and has always been inspired
by the artistic and creative community found in this city. Her
mother, Barbara, is herself an artist and she feels lucky to have
inherited her passion for creating. Also, her mother is an avid
collector of jewelry and Carolyn spent many hours as a child playing
with her adornments and then later as a teen and adult, raiding
her collection. What she especially enjoys about fashion and jewelry
at this point in time is that anything goes. Everything is in
style right now, whether it be super chunky, fine and delicate,
modern and retro, or vintage and old fashioned. Everyone's personal
style is "in style" and that's how it should be. She
tries to make pieces that embrace this idea. Carolyn's goal is
to create pieces that are as timeless and precious to others as
the necklaces she inherited from her grandmother, Beulah. |

Tracy
Tenpenny -
In July of 2006, Tracy Tenpenny emerged from the world of Interior
Design and Architecture with a line of jewelry inspired by the
shapes, structures, colors, and engineering that dominate the
design world. Her designs transcend the style spectrum from the
elegant to the fun and funky. Tracy Tenpenny pieces are originally
designed and handcrafted with the intention of providing a unique
and simple elegance to all women's fashion, whether the occasion
is a sporting event, a girl's night out, or a sophisticated formal
evening.
Shortly
after Tracy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where
she studied Interior Design and Architecture, her mother passed
away after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. As an escape from
the loss, Tracy began designing jewelry. Despite a growing career
as a Design Director at an architecture firm, she continued to
create jewelry and found success selling these pieces through
private trunk shows and word of mouth. On the 5 year anniversary
of her mother's death she left her corporate job to pursue her
passion for jewelry design full-time, dedicated to emulate her
mother's spirit of life. |

Urban
Posh -
Urban Posh was created in 2004 by jewelry designer, Jeanne Kirkland.
Jeanne's first experience with semi-precious stones came when
she was only 2 years old. Both of her grandparents are gemologists
and traveled the world over in search of the best quality of stones
that could be found. She remembers her grandfather's stories of
hiking to mines through the jungles of Africa and Sri Lanka. They
always encouraged her to pick up stones and learn about their
various attributes.
Fast
forward what seems like a million years and she was at the University
of Texas at Austin studying business. After 5 years in high tech,
she went to work designing jewelry and the rest was history. |
